Late payments from big businesses to small businesses are a crippling their cash flow and drowning them in debt. In 2024 for cost of late payments to small businesses leapt to £1.6bn.
Idea
Xero took a stand, with an OOH campaign and event at Westminster targeting politicians to generate a groundswell of pressure for the government to act, with a simple, but powerful message: Stop late payments drowning small businesses
Results
Both major parties added it to their election manifesto, and on July 30th the new Labour government announced tough new measures, to crackdown on late payments to small businesses.
